These rustic napkin holder table stands are made from naturally weathered and aged, reclaimed timber boards and bent steel metal rod.

Each unique piece will have acquired natural character and patina from former use alongside weathering effects that only real exposure to the natural elements sun, wind and rain delivers over time.

The reclaimed boards used to make each piece are selected for interesting grain and ring patterns, they are sanded in three separate stages to carefully retain their weathered nature leaving a fine, smooth-to-touch, brushed surface after the final stage of processing. They are hand finished in a [very] lightly stained antique style oil/beeswax which gently enhances the grain patterns and contrast of natural weathered features and matured woody tones within the timber.

Each napkin holder comes with four pre-drilled holes for the bent metal ‘staples’ to be inserted and pushed gently home. The metal ‘staples’ are included in a ‘flat-packed’ manner for self-assembly by the receiver in order to minimise postage costs and excessive packaging — instructions are provided, installation is a simple process.

All the reclaimed wood used comes from heat-treated timber i.e. this timber has not undergone any industrial chemical preservative treatments so is safe for the home environment.

This is weathered reclaimed wood so each piece may contain knots, small cracks, the odd nail hole and colour variation from sun, wind and rain exposure and naturally occurring spalting affects occurring within the timber over time — these features are not defects but the inherent character of naturally aged wood.
